This Privacy Policy explains how LangDesk ("LangDesk", "we", "us") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data when you use the LangDesk certified-translation platform at langdesk.app and the LangDesk Reviewer mobile application (the "App"), available for Android and iOS.

The App is intended for professional translators ("reviewers") who collaborate with LangDesk. It is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 18.

1. Who we are

LangDesk operates a marketplace that connects clients who need certified translations with vetted professional reviewers. For the purposes of data protection law, LangDesk is the data controller for the personal data described below. You can reach us at [email protected].

We do not collect your contacts, photos library, precise location, microphone, or camera. The App does not use advertising identifiers and does not track you across other apps or websites.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

We share data only with the processors needed to run the service. They are bound by contract to protect it and may only use it to provide their service to us:

We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our rights, or in connection with a corporate transaction.

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Because LangDesk processes payments, certain records (financial transactions, invoices, escrow and payout history, and translation records tied to certifications) must be retained to meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations even after you stop using the service.

7. Your rights and account deletion

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing.

To delete your account and associated personal data, use Delete account in the App (Profile) or on the web (Account → Danger zone). When you have no active project, unsettled payout/escrow, or open dispute, your personal data (such as name, email, and phone) is removed and your login revoked right away. If something is still in progress, we record your request and complete it once it clears, within 30 days. You can also email [email protected] with the subject "Account deletion request" from your registered email.

Records we are legally required to keep (financial, tax, escrow, and certification records; see Retention above) are retained in anonymized form, no longer linked to information that identifies you.

Our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) for those transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be communicated through the App or by email.
